The numbers
219 openings. 172 opened between August 17 and October 12, and 47 have announced an opening date. Santa Clara County has 57, San Francisco 55, and Alameda County 51.
Every opening comes with its date and the source that confirmed it: an Instagram post, a news story, a review listing, or the restaurant's own site. Ora found the owner's name on 158 and the owner plus an email or phone on 134.
